Intuitive eating is an evidence-based, weight-inclusive approach to resolving food struggles. It’s rooted your wisdom of your own body: eating when you are hungry, stopping when you are full and choosing foods that satisfy you. You’ll learn how to tune into your body’s hunger, fullness and satisfaction cues and take care of yourself while enjoying the foods you love, even if you’re not sure how to access those things just yet.
Note that while we support anyone with disordered eating or a history of dieting, at this time we do not currently provide counseling for adults with active cases of anorexia and bulimia.
And while we specialize in working with parents, we are happy to support your intuitive eating journey regardless of whether you have or want to have children.

Developing a healthy relationship with food
A healthy relationship with food is no longer obsessing over calories, points, macros or food groups. It's eating the foods you love in a way that feels right for you body, without feeling hungry or deprived or turning to binge eating.
Challenging diet culture
Diet culture tells us that we can't trust our appetites and that weight loss is necessary for health. With Intuitive Eating, you'll unpack these ideas and forge a personalized path towards embracing gentle nutrition, movement and other health-promoting behaviors in a way that works for your lifestyle.
An end to yo-yo dieting
Because weight loss attempts typically fail, many people find themselves in an ongoing cycle of weight loss and regain. This stresses our metabolisms, worsens our health markers (such as cholesterol and blood pressure) and leads to additional weight gain.
Greater emotional health and well-being
As compared to people who rigidly control their diets, intuitive eaters report lower levels of body image concerns, lower levels of disordered eating and higher self-esteem.
Setting a positive example for your children
A parent's dieting has a huge influence on whether a child diets. Dieting in kids is associated with poor body image and self esteem, increased risk of eating disorders and weight gain above the child's starting point. By ending the dieting cycle with yourself, you are one step closer to helping your children embrace food freedom and body confidence, too.
